From August 13–17, 2017, the Karazin University team participated in the 18th International Student Olympiad in Mathematics, which took place in Iran at Shahid Beheshti University (Tehran). According to the competition results, the university's mathematics team took third place, and in the individual competition, third-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Denys Smirnov received a bronze medal. In addition, the Olympiad participants were received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Serhii Burdylak. Congratulations to the mathematicians and we wish them new achievements!
