FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING
Recently, the interest of developers of complex software
systems in functional programming languages has been growing. Explanations vary,
but, as a rule, these explanations boil down to the following reasons: requirements for
software reliability, i.e., for reducing latent errors in the code,
are increasing against the backdrop of parallel data processing methods
transforming from exotic to typical.
So what does functional programming have to do with it? The answers to this
question are dedicated to a series of seminars, which will begin on Saturday, September 30,
2017, by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv
National University.
The seminar is scheduled for every Saturday at 11:40 AM in room 6-52
of the Main Building of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
(Svobody Sq., 4). The seminar organizers do not see the need
require participants to have any prior knowledge, or
programming experience, but hope for interest in
the subject and readiness for independent work.
All interested parties are invited.
The only organizational requirement: send by 3:00 PM on September 28, 2017 to
the address math@karazin.ua a message containing the surname and name
of the participant and their email address, with the tag FP in the subject line.
