First-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Olga Silina and Polina Rybalko, took part in the international summer school “Modern mathematics”, which was held in Bremen (Germany) from July 1 to 11, 2017. 104 students from 39 countries gathered at Jacobs University to attend lectures on current problems in modern mathematics.

18 leading mathematicians from around the world, including John Conway, Martin Andler, and Maryna Viazovska, discussed with young people the results of their research and promising directions for scientific activity.
