First-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Olha Sylina and Polina Rybalko participated in the international summer school «Modern mathematics», which took place in Bremen (Germany) from July 1 to 11, 2017. 104 students from 39 countries gathered at Jacobs University to listen to lectures on current problems of modern mathematics.

18 leading mathematicians from around the world, including John Conway, Martin Andler, and Maryna Viazovska, discussed with young people the results of their research and promising directions of scientific activity.
